I am based out of Cincinnati. I have struggled with the bees surviving throughout the winter the last few years. Several beekeepers in the area have lost their hives. I wish you the best of luck in N.C.and in the New Year!

I stumbled across your blog via the Epicurious cookie contest. I am also a bee keeper. Where do you live? I am in N.C. and have been keeping bees for 4 years. My husband and I moved to N.C. one year ago from Texas where we lived on 5 acres and I had 8 hives…I had to sell them when we moved but have two hives ordered to arrive in N.C. in April. I can’t wait to get some new girls to care for. Just curious where you are keeping your bees!
